Maniacal Monday Music ~ Van Halen
In the wake of Brother Eddie's Wake, it seems apropos to send out some Love to An Immortal:
The Grand Collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth ~ as well as Brother Michael Anthony and Alexander Van Halen ~ was unlike any other, before or since:
Runnin' With The Devil
Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
Dance The Night Away
Somebody Get Me a Doctor
And The Cradle Will Rock
Everybody Wants Some
So This Is Love?
Hot For Teacher
Just a magnificent Band. And they loved Brother Jack Daniels, which is entirely to their credit.
And their live performances were amazing. Case in point:
Maniacal Monday Monsters ~ Godzilla!!
Booyah! Might'as well start with The Greatest of Them All!
I've always felt sympatico with Brother Godzilla: He is one Monster who is clearly The Good Guy, yet that is combined ~ and this is rare ~ with a colossal level of destructive RAGE.
Godzilla wields a righteous fury, Brothers and Sisters!
That's my boy.
And of course I'm talking about the real Godzilla, the one from those delightfully horrible Japanese films of yesteryear, not the Matthew Broderick sewage and other recent adaptations.
The real Godzilla has personality.
The real Godzilla is somebody you actually root for.
The clowns who've made the more recent versions focused entirely on his destructive power, and completely ignored his personality, shrinking his head to a pin size, and treating his legendarily terrifying howl as an afterthought. It's almost impressive, how horrifically they botched it.
Should I ever make my Fortune, I will see to it that Godzilla gets the respect he deserves.
Random Political Thought of the Day
I work 7 Nights/Week, and 60 Hours/Week (2 Shifts are 10 Hour Shifts), and try to work out for 2 Hours/Day, so I have an excuse, but it nevertheless bothers me that my arc of thought and the development of more consistently good habits didn't happen early enough for this young, developmental Blog to've risen to a point of wide-spread distribution in time to make an appreciable impact on the 2020 election. For, while clowns like Sean Hannity have been sermonizing, it seems, about every single current election being the most crucial, vitally momentous ones of our lives since the dawn of the millennium...this time, it's true.
1 ~ I did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016. But he has earned my vote. He has cut Taxes aggressively, he has dramatically beefed up our Military, has has reconfigured taxes, regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to bring oceans of jobs back home, he has done more to protect our nation from the open sewer pipe of open borders and Criminalien raw sewage than any President has ever done, and he has improved the Working Class Job Market sensationally.
2 ~ Joe Biden has proven 1000 times over that he would be a horrifically nightmarish President, one who would destroy our economy by shutting everything down, jacking up taxes, and destroying the Energy Industry, and one who, based on his track record, would allow our Defensive Infrastructure to decay, would give all our jobs back to China, and allow the mass-murdering, blatantly evil Chinese Communists eclipse America as the world's Super Power.
3 ~ The fact that Joe Biden has been proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, to be guilty of Treason, in selling America out to its worst enemy ~ China ~ as well as Russia and The Ukraine ~ THE Ukraine ~ in return for millions of dollars that he brazenly laundered through his family, and the fact that he is clearly a demented, angry, evil asshole, with intense inclinations towards pedophilia, evidently inherited by his son, is almost beside the point. He would make a horrific President.
4 ~ Donald Trump, whatever you think of his personality, is a dream President. He is, in fact a great President, right up there with Kennedy, Reagan, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. Why?
Because, like those Gentlemen, he loves America.
