Random Political Thought of the Day!!

Sent this to my beloved but tragically Liberal/Regressive Sister, last night...

OK. Your question was "What has he done for us?" In your case, it is a pleasure to answer that. Mind you, I assess my chances of striking a persuasive note at about a zillion to one against, but the reason that I love you is because you've got a beautiful, thoughtful mind, which matches your beautiful thoughtful Soul. So I can live with a zillion to one.

This is what I've always wanted from my Dream President ~ which'f course's me, but I'm busy:

1 ~ Dramatically reduce Income Taxes. The IRS didn't exist before 1913. We were already the world's greatest power, at that point, without the poisonous, parasitical scum in Washington tithing us. It's a disgusting encroachment on our Freedom and Prosperity.

2 ~ Build up our Military. Fools like to imagine that, if we act real nice, everybody else will act real nice. People with functional brains cannot afford to indulge in that idiotic fantasy. It's possible that humankind will eventually evolve beyond Evil. Until that time, though, it is necessary to arm oneself on a personal and national basis, in order to be prepared to resist  murderous, evil scum, like the Chinese, Russian, and Persian Empires...and Antifa!!

3 ~ Bring our Soldiers home. Defend our courageous American Soldiers from senseless and idiotic Wars. Protect them from "Nation Building." No American Soldier should ever be asked to risk its (his/her) Life, except in defense of America. The idea that we can "train" the Afghans or Iraqis in how to build a defensible nation is an insult to them and to us. The only realistic way that we can give our gift of Liberty to other nations is via Leadership By Example, honoring the fact that they must forge their own path, hard to watch though it may be...Presuming to foist our values on others is an insult, makes enemies of those who we would make friends, and consequently put the lives of our Soldiers in tragically needless danger.

4 ~ Defend our jobs, by negotiating fair Trade Deals with other nations.

5 ~ Defend our prosperity, by negotiating fair deals with our NATO allies, who've hitherto been robbing us, and for God's sake, stop giving American Money away to murderous Dictators!!

6 ~ Defend our Soldiers and our Citizens, by cancelling evil compacts such as those negotiated by Obama, that unspeakable scumbag, with Persia and North Korea, and anyone else ~ like China and Russia ~ who previous, gutless Presidents have negotiated unfair deals with.

7 ~ Defend our borders against criminal, alien scum, who murder our citizens.

8 ~ Regulate laws so that Businesses are incentivized to bring our jobs back home, thus dramatically improving the lot of the American Worker.

What has Trump done for us?

All of the above.

He ain't perfect. But nobody since Reagan, Kennedy, and Roosevelt the Great ~ like Trump, Closet Libertarians!!! ~ has done so much for America and Americans.

I didn't vote for Trump. I voted Libertarian.

He had to earn my admiration.

I can understand Liberals. Y'all want to watch out for the other guy. That is commendable. But looking out for the other guy ~ for all of us ~ is precisely what Trump has done.

He sucks at connecting with Liberals. I mean he sucks at it...But y'all're adults, for God's sake.

You say that you've made up your own mind. In your case, I do not doubt that...But it's pretty clear to me, looking back over 50 years of incoming information, that Grade School, College, Movies, TeleVision, et cetera, have all been inundated with Liberal propaganda.

That makes it challenging to think objectively, but think objectively, you must.

Otherwise, we go the way of the French Revolution.

And the French Revolution, for those scoring at home, who haven't researched it as deeply as I have, because they had better things to do...was a spectacular Fail.

SuperStar ~ General Nathanael Greene!!

Picture
General Nathanael Green at The Battle of Guilford State House, the Battle that ultimately decided the American Revolutionary War!

With all due respect to George Washington, a great American but a vastly overrated General, the American Revolutionary War was won by Nathanael Greene and Daniel Morgan.

From 1776 to 1780, the best that Washington had been able to do against the great resources of the British was a stalemate. There is no shame in that, but he also came perilously close to disaster and annihilation, in the Battle of New York, and in the Battle of Brandywine.

In 1780, the British invaded the Carolinas, scoring enormous victories at Charlestown and at the catastrophic Battle of Camden, against Benjamin Lincoln and Horrible Horatio Gates, respectively. Dixie was laid entirely open to British depredations and conquest.

It was then that Greene & Morgan came to the rescue. They reorganized the remnants of our shattered Army, coordinated with local Militias, and reconfigured our Southern Strategy dramatically, transitioning into Gorilla Warfare. They wore the Brits down...and out.

Greene and Morgan took command of the Dixie Army's shattered remnants in December, 1780.

The Invincible Lord Cornwallis, erstwhile Master of Dixie, surrendered 10 months later.

It was not a coincidence...And the War was over.

Random Political Thought of the Day

President Trump, compared to what the Democratic "leadership" would've done, based on their comments at the time, has done an awesome job of responding to The Chinese Plague.

But compared to what I would've done ~ based on my comments at the time!! ~ he, along with the rest of the government, and along with most State Governors, has done an horrifically terrible job, because he listened to idiots like Doctor Fauci, who insist on shutting everything down, rather than listen to what I've been saying since a month before this hit:

1 ~ It spreads too easily for any attempt to stop it completely to have a realistic chance.

2 ~ It's mortality rate is extremely low, comparable to the flu, for God's sake.

3 ~ We could save more lives by focusing our resources on the vulnerable.

4 ~ If we had let it run its course, we'd have Herd Immunity by now.

The Great Barrington Declaration?

It's what I've been saying all along.

FootBall ~ The Greatest Sport of them All!!

Ahhh...The Great George Carlin, doing nothing less than ushering in the legendary Greatness of Saturday Night Live, in front of a live, late night audience, mind you, on the very dawn ~ as it were ~ if its glorious, inaugural season, on October 11th, 1975, with one of the greatest skits ever performed. I haven't been a Fan of current SNL Crews for more than 30 years, but the original one, with Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Bill Murray, et cetera, was magnificent.

October 11th, 1975, ironically, was the same day that kicked off the 1975 World Series, one of the best ever played, between the Big Red Machine and those colossal underdogs, my beloved Red Sox, who came within an ace of pulling off a miracle upset. And of course the 1975 World Series featured Game 6 and Fisk's Home Run, one of the most epic, legendary moments in Sports History...Baseball was still a great game in 1975, and I was obsessed with it for many years, all the way until those scum betrayed us by murdering the 1994 season in August.

Baseball lost its Soul, that year.

Yet until 1994, it was a great game.

But everything that Carlin said was true: FootBall speaks to America's Soul.

Teamwork.

Working together to achieve measurable goals.

And there's something else: Advancing down field, using power, speed, tactics, and teamwork, in direct combat with one's foe, employing a combination of Trench Warfare, Combat Skills, Fire Power, BlitzKrieg, and Air Assault, simulates actual Warfare in a savage, satisfying way.

FootBall ~ American FootBall, not to be confused with what I prefer to call European FootBall, as "Association" FootBall or "Soccer", for short, are odd names ~ is the greatest Sport of all!

Food!! Lobster Newburg!!

Picture

Many Earthlings are aware that Lobster is the greatest food of them all.

But many are ~ as I for many years was ~ unaware of the best Lobster dish of'm all!

Sitting down with Lobster and drawn butter is awesome, of course.

But nothing captures the rich possibilities of Lobster like this rich, creamy, savory dish:

Here's the Recipe, from A Family Feast, a truly great Site!

Find it. Try it. I beg'f you.

Random Political Thought of the Day

Picture
These are the Tyrants ~ the Traitorous Scum ~ who're assaulting Democracy TODAY.

America, this week ~ today ~ is fighting for its very Soul.

The vast majority of Democratic voters are good people who care about others.

The people that Democratic voters put into Power care about nobody.

They manipulate voters. They tell lies ~ outrageous lies.

And now they are trying to murder the truth. Joe Biden is an evil, corrupt Traitor.

Everybody knows it. A vote for him is a vote for Tyranny.

FaceBook and Twitter are his staunch allies.

But there is hope: They're being called out.

Theater ~ Beloved Movies ~ Armageddon

Picture

I've been startled to find that many of my favorite movies either were panned by critics, bombed at the box office, or both! Armageddon rocked it at the box office, but got intensely panned by critics, and at Rotten Tomatoes, it scored a 38% with them, which is pretty damned low!

Generally, Tomatoes is very effective at illustrating excellent movies that idiot critics hated. This was a classic case, as the "Audience" portion gave it a 73%!

The movie was tremendously entertaining, a deep and talented cast of characters projected engaging depth, the drama was played out beautifully, and the emotion was explosively intense, without being overly done. The writing was crisp and very humorous, and the climax to the movie was one of the best that I've ever seen. I'd score in the 90-95 range.

Thespians ~ Beloved Performers ~ Peter Stormare

One of my favorite aspects of Cinema is when Performers work together in multiple movies, and with dramatically different relationships. And one of my very favorite such cases is that of Stormaire and Steve Buscemi, who worked together in the legendary Fargo in 1996.

In that remarkable Movie, their characters enjoyed a few light moments, together...

Picture

...but ultimately came to a parting of the ways, as it were.

Picture

2 years later, they're in Armageddon together, which I strongly suspect surprises a lot of people, even if they've watched both movies! Buscemi played RockHound, the hideous, horny genius. Stormare played the Russian Cosmonaut, Lev Andropov, and absolutely crushed it. Not that Buscemi didn't play his role well, too, but Stormare was tremendous, and also had one'f my favorite lines of all: "That's why I told you: touch nothing. But you're bunch'f Cowboys."

I couldn't find a still shot of it, but I've always been bemused ~ semi-spoiler alert ~ that after RockHound loses his shit and gets tied up and gagged, it's Andropov who rips his gag off, a small but kindly gesture...one in sharp contrast with the legendary WoodChipper scene!

Picture

He also played Serge, a rather horrible Husband, in Chocolat, an absolutely beautiful Movie. His character was important, and, as always, he played it subtly and well. Stormare usually plays supporting roles, with not much exposure or many lines, which are roles that are hard to play well, without overplaying them. At this, he excels, yet even as subtly as he plays them, his impact tends to be disproportionately large, often because of his understated presence.

Bonus: It also turns out that he's close friends with Stellen Skarsgaard, an extraordinary and remarkably adaptable Performer, himself, which I find quite awesome, indeed!

Random Political Thoughts

It's pretty hilarious that the Lefty Loons accuse anyone who agrees with Trump of being his bag boy. Trump had to work harder to overcome all of our preconceptions of him than any President ever has. Me, I'm a Libertarian who didn't vote for'm the first time around, but he won me over immediately with what he's done for Americans on every front. Ironically, no rational human being would ever vote for an evil, deranged, demented pervert like Biden. It therefore undeniably follows that only the most blindly obedient cool aid guzzlers would do so.

Warfare ~ The Battle of Rocroi ~ 1643

Picture
Louis de Bourbon ~ the future Grande Conde ~ sporting his legendary white plumes!

Spain had been Western Civilization's preeminent Power, before the 30 Years War began in 1618, but had fallen back to the pack by 1643, with the Ascension of France, Sweden, and, though technically still not recognized as independent by Spain, itself, The Netherlands.

Louis de Bourbon, the Duke d'Enghien ~ later, le Grande Conde ~ led the French Army, that day, 22,000 men, against the Spanish Army of Don Francisco de Melo, of 26,000.

It was not a remarkable Battle, at first. Both Armies positioned Cavalry on both Flanks, and their Infantry in the Center. Bourbon had routed the Spanish Cavalry on his Right Flank, but the Spanish had returned the favor, by routing his Cavalry on his Left Flank.

Picture

What rendered this Battle remarkable, was what happened, next: While the Spanish on his Left Flank turned to attack his Infantry in the French Center, Bourbon boldly split his triumphant Right Flank Cavalry, and attacked the Spanish Center and the Spanish Right Flank!

Yes! He sent half his Cavalry all the way around the Spanish Rear and attacked the triumphant Spanish Right Flank Cavalry from behind! I have studied hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Battles, in my time. This is the only time that I've read about anyone pulling that off!

The results were spectacular. Conde ~ I'll just call'm that, now, for this was the moment where he transformed into Greatness ~ and his men annihilated the astonished Spanish Cavalry. Henceforth, it was just a matter of wiping out the surrounded Spanish Center.

Picture

Mind you: We're talking about the Spanish Tercios, here, and they held out resolutely, and with extraordinary discipline, much as General Wellington's Squares would, 172 years later, at Waterloo. But they never had a chance. The result was inevitable: Obliteration.

From that day to this, Spain was no longer a Great Power. It ended that suddenly.

And the Ascension of France...had begun.

Excellent piece on The Battle of Rocroi!

Women ~ Audrey Hepburn

Picture

As the great Billy Squier is inexplicably most remembered for "Stroke Me" ~ a good Song, but an unremarkable one ~ despite his having authored no less than 4 Songs that are vastly superior, Audrey Hepburn is, incredibly, almost universally most intimately associated with Breakfast at Tiffany's, a trite, shallow, idiotic, depressing abomination of a Movie.

Roman Holiday.

Sabrina.

Those were tremendous movies.

Picture

But neither'f'm were half so tremendous as Audrey Hepburn, herself.

There've been a zillion beautiful women, over the years, praise the Gods.

But Audrey Hepburn? Her fusion of Beauty, Gentleness, and exquisite, adorable Grace?

One of a kind.

Random Political Thought of the Day

We are indeed at an Historical Inflection Point in History.

The unspeakable scum who run FaceBook & Twitter, and who've flat-out censored the damning article written by the New York Post, appropriately dubbed the "Smoking Gun" which appears to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Joe Biden is a Treasonous Criminal, who gave away billions of American Tax Payers' dollars, in order to betray our Nation, to the benefit of our Chinese and Russian enemies, while stealing millions of our dollars for himself and his degenerate, criminal family, should be imprisoned, along with Biden, himself.

Here's the first article, Part 1, that the FaceBook and Twitter scum censored.

And here's Part 2, just coming out, today.

The leaders of FaceBook and Twitter should go to Prison.

And Biden is a Treasonous Criminal who should be executed.

These are evil, Stalinist scum.

Transcendentalism ~ Seeking the Best Version of Oneself

As I consider myself a Libertine Libertarian, without paying obedience to the Libertarian Party ~ which isn't nearly as Libertarian as I! ~ so, too, do I call myself a Transcendentalist, without paying obedience to the historical Transcendentalists of the American 19th century.

Happiness

From my perspective, Transcendentalism boils down to one simple thing: Happiness.

I have spent countless hours, over the course of many years, delving ever deeper into that most important of all questions that we should all constantly ask ourselves: Am I as happy as I can possibly be? If not ~ or if so! ~ what changes might I make to become even happier?

One Great Truth that I believe I've discovered: Most people mistake pleasure...for Happiness.

Picture

He's speaking of Fulfillment, of course. But Fulfillment isn't about jumping out'f airplanes, or going on that vacation that you always wanted to go on, or any of that Bucket List crap. Those things are about pleasure, and while pleasure is a perfectly healthy part of anyone's spiritual diet, it doesn't feed the Spirit like Service does. Yes, Service. The only path to true Happiness is the simplest one: Live every day to be of Service to others. Why? Because we are all genetically programmed to fulfill a useful role ~ to be of Service to others ~ and if we all simply allow ourselves to make a daily focus of doing so, Fulfillment will inevitably follow.

And Fulfillment inevitably begets Happiness. That is something only you can give you.

Most people look at me blankly when I speak of such things.

Random Political Thought of the Day

Democratic voters tend to be excellent people, but they also tend to be tragically naive.

Scum like Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, Harris, et cetera, are only interested in Power over you.

Trump has done nothing but try to protect you, lower your taxes, and protect your jobs.

Wake up.

Maniacal Monday ~ Music & Monsters ~ 10-12-20

Picture
Strawberries...Because Mondays have always felt, to me, to be a redolent red!

A generally agreed upon yet highly underestimated aspect of humanity, I believe, is the need to express oneself, every single day. I believe that every human being should write a daily Blog.

We all need an audience, but I have come to realize that it is enough that there is the hope of an audience, some day. When I post this, today, I highly doubt that anyone will read it for a long time. But if I write often enough and well enough, this beloved Blog will probably eventually percolate to the surface of various Searches, and I will connect with like minds.

And that possibility of connecting with like minds is more than enough, combined with the great pleasure of writing, itself, to reward my efforts more than sufficiently.

Formatting ~ Each Day, A Theme

The format will doubtlessly evolve, over the years, but I'm starting off, as I relaunch things, this week, by focusing on particular themes ~ indulging in particular passions! ~ every day.

Mondays? Music & Monsters, baby!

The Bangles

Hah! Considering that the title of my Mondays is an unabashed homage to The Bangles, it seems appropriate to start with them. Like many popular Bands, their musical prowess is perversely underrated. I am a musical novice, so there is no chance of my finding the right words to properly convey my admiration, but suffice to say: their Work is unlike any other's.

Their Site.

I fear that that which is currently a live Link will some day be inevitably replaced by some idiotic "This video has been yoinked." message. I have always been more than happy to pay for the privilege of posting a copy of a video ~ preferably paying the Artists, themselves, thank you very much ~ but for the life of me, I've never been able to get a straight answer from anyone, anywhere, about how I might go about doing so. Surely, whoever "owns" such videos, if they are in fact owned, and not part of the public domain ~ I have no clue ~ would prefer to amass Royalties, while reaping the additional benefit of free advertising? Maybe I'll contact their Site, directly, and pray for an enlightening response. Crazier things have happened.

For now, though, I'll just pray for the best. And I would be remiss if I failed to include this video, exhibiting their finest collaborative work, and featuring the magnificent Susanna Hoffs:

Creature Double Feature...on Channel 56!!

I love Monsters. Steven King is one of my 2 favorite Authors, the other being Jane Austin, of course. One of my favorite childhood memories is watching Creature Double Feature on Saturday afternoons. I still get giddy, just recollecting their intro to Gory Glory!!

All the better, as it features Godzilla, my favorite Monster of'm all, and in purple, the greatest color of'm all!! But I'll leave it at that, as a simple homage to that awesome, beloved show, which brought so much giddy joy to my childhood, seems an appropriate way to launch!

Random Political Thought of the Day

The horrific levels of partisanship that we've seen, this year, are attributable to 2 things, I think:

1 ~ The Cold War, which provided our nation its own Monster to unite against, ended 30 years ago. Ever since then, political parasites have poisoned their parties.

2 ~ Idle hands. Because of the apocalyptically asinine response to The Chinese Plague ~ shutting things down ~ millions of people have tons of time on their hands, and, rather than do something constructive, thousands can think of nothing better to do than to destroy things. As soon as an effective vaccination is launched, and this idiotic shut-down ends, mark my words: the riots and gratuitous violence will come to a screeching halt. You heard it here, first!

Happy Monday, Fellow Freedom Fighters!

No joke: I love Mondays, the Launch Pad of every week!

A fresh start, building on all that we have learned and all that we have accomplished!

***

I came to realize that writing exclusively about Politics just isn't that fulfilling, so I've been racking my brain ~ when I've had a chance to think, over the last 8 tumultuous weeks! ~ about what I really want to accomplish, here, and how best to set about doing so...And I've concluded that what I really want to do, is run my yap ~ journalistically ~ about all my favorite subjects!

***

I'm going to try to write ~ every day, when time allows ~ while focusing each day of the week on certain themes, which will also allow me to include political commentary as daily "side dishes", rather than try to come up with a fresh political subject to write about, every day.

That, I sense, will keep things fresh, and keep them balanced. Whether or not my writing ever attracts a single Reader, much less an audience of considerable size, is anyone's guess!

***

Most days, I'll try to post in the morning. Today, I'm posting this, now, and my first "official" post of Silly Stuff That Only I Care About, later on, probably this Evening.

May The God Of Your Choice bless you, until then!

ReBooting the Site!!

10/10/2020

Good morrow, Fellow Freedom Fighters!

Checking in: I've been thinking about the structure of this beloved Site, ere the last couple of months, even while fighting for my Life, figuratively speaking: I'm not involved in the Riots, mind you, or anything: Just undergoing tumult and transition in my vocational world!

Please Note, in case any future Readers imagine that I'm nuts: I'm fully aware that nobody is as yet reading these words. I'm just getting this post in, for the record, as it were...

My idea is to ReBoot & ReLaunch on Monday.

It came to me: I don't need to concern myself with Google Rank or such things.

"Loud Libertarian" is a very good description of me, if one must confine oneself to 2 words.

But the self-imposed idea that every post must be political, that I struggled with, this Summer?

I'm over it.

Like every Soul on this beloved Planet, I've got notions that I wish to share with the Universe.

Some'f'm are political, many are not.

And I know, even before I start, that many'f'm will overlap subjects.

I like that.

I believe that the world would be far healthier if everybody kept a Blog.

We all need to express ourselves, if only in the hope of our message being received.

If my doing so leads to this Site getting flooded with Traffic, leading to Fame & Fortune? Great.

If my doing so leads only to the pleasure of speaking my mind in the hope that others will some day find pleasure in reading them...then that is reason enough to write.

Thank you, future ~ theoretical ~ readers.

May this find you very well.
