The Loud Libertarian View ~ The Boston Tea Party

I've been stumbling over a lot of garbage that cites The Boston Tea Party as some kind of twisted precedent, the idea being that The Boston Tea Party somehow justifies the wanton destruction currently being perpetrated by the hooligans who're currently perpetrating it.
A bunch of criminal scum, running around stealing, destroying, assaulting, raping, and murdering, hard as the concept evidently is, for some to process, is not the same thing as the legendary American Patriots of Boston responding to the criminal corruption and tyranny that then, regrettably, held sway in Parliament, and threatened to annihilate American commerce in ostentatiously corrupt ways, by fighting back in a constrained and non-violent way.

Please note: I am not pontificating. I have long since outgrown the arrogant belief that I could lead others to light. We can only lead our selves thither, and must chose our own path.

I realize that, now.

But I can shine a light ~ or what I imagine to be a light ~ in the hope that it will light the way.

I tend to be especially philosophical on Sundays. So here it is:

How we feel about ourselves dominates our happiness ~ or lack of it ~ every hour of every day.

If we focus only on pleasure, self contempt unconsciously shadows every moment of every day.

But if we relentlessly treat others kindly, self love lightens every moment of every day.

How we feel about ourselves dominates every hour of every day.

It doesn't matter where you stand on Black Lives Matter, or on the De-fund the Police idiocy. Each and every decent man and woman can appreciate what Cops do for us, and the risks that they take, each and every day, putting themselves in Harm's Way to protect the innocent.

Fox: NYPD seeks man who attacked police with wooden object during Brooklyn Bridge protest

Anybody who doesn't believe that the gutless, murderous coward who viciously attacked those Cops deserves to die a horrible death really have their priorities wrong.

The Loud Libertarian View ~ Prejudice

Beware.

As I troll the Internet for Truth and Entertainment and come upon an article, I find myself instinctively searching for an indication of whether or not the writer has an agenda: Are they going to tout Conservative Propaganda, tout Liberal Propaganda, or focus on the facts and what they imply?

My friends, I believe that 60-90% of us do not even consider that 3rd option.

I believe that 60-90% of us see the world through a prism: Are you for us, or against us?

I believe that 60-90% of us pick a side, and then judge others by determining whether they are friend or foe, without regard to the possibility that they might be neither.

It takes courage, and it takes moral strength, to take a genuinely objective approach to seeking Truth.

It takes work.

Most, you see, are too mentally and morally lazy to routinely operate with such an open mind. It is far easier to pick a side, and then pass everything that one sees and hears through that filter.

And that is a contemptible disgrace.

Beware, lest that disgrace be you.

The Loud Libertarian View ~ The CoronaVirus ~ Protect The Weak & Let It Play Itself Out

So much for The Great Quarantine. I can't seem to find a current chart that I can copy and paste, here, but here's a link to the World Health Organization data, which displays cases and deaths.

And they were kind enough to enable a ScreenShot to be taken of the current data:

Picture

It's pretty clear that, while the deaths reported spiked back in April, they've remained at high levels.

And it's painfully obvious that reported cases have been increasing relentlessly, despite the trillions of dollars flushed down the toilet to compensate the millions of people who's incomes have been destroyed, and despite the outrageous and persistent invasion of our personal lives.

It was obvious, way back in February, before this thing even hit our shores, and should by this point be crystal clear, even to the thickest of skulls, that the easily transmittable nature of this virus, combined with the low level of fatalities to healthy people that it inflicts, would produce precisely the perfect storm of half measures that would allow the virus to sweep the land, exactly as it has.

I'm not "Monday Morning QuarterBacking", either. I had this same discussion, privately, way back then.

And I rather doubt that we were the only ones.

Even at a dystopian extreme, where all federal governments around the world decreed that everyone but "essential" personnel were required to stay in their homes for 3 weeks, and even if everyone around the world went along with it, exceptions would still have to be made to allow people to connect to emergency services and shop for food...And that, alone, would certainly lead to an outbreak of this persistent and virulent bug. And America could only manage it unilaterally, sustainably, and reliably, if everyone agreed to eat ramen noodles for a month.

And we'd have to shut down the borders indefinitely.

Ladies and Laddies? That ain't happening.

If this thing posed a substantial threat to healthy people, that would be one thing.

As it is, there is simply no way that it's gonna be stopped until it plays itself out, or until we find a cure.

This has all been a colossal waste of time, effort, and money.

Not to be cavalier, but the reality is that this thing needs to play itself out.

Meanwhile, we should concentrate all our protective measures in concentrated fortresses, if you will, wherein our most vulnerable people are watched over and cared for.

And the rest of us should be left alone to live our lives and make America even greater.

You listed to the wrong people, President Trump. In reality, virtually any President would've done the same. And virtually any President would've lacked the balls to admit the mistake.

I expected better of you, by now. But even now, it's not too late.

End the madness, President Trump.

All Quarantines should end.

And you need to say it.

The Loud Libertarian View ~ The Right To Bear Arms ~ Mark & Patricia McCloskey

"(They said that) They were going to kill us," Patricia McCloskey recalled at the time. "They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house."

I don't like making reference to Sean Hannity, for whom I have no respect or regard, but the answer to a question he asked bears quoting. When Hannity asked Patricia McCloskey what the Army of "protesters" told her their intentions were as 300 or so'f'm bore down on her, she answered:

"(They said that) they were going to kill us," Patricia McCloskey recalled at the time. "They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house. They were going to be living in our house after I was dead, and they were pointing to different rooms and said, 'That’s going to be my bedroom and that’s going to be the living room and I’m going to be taking a shower in that room.'"

The Loud Libertarian View ~ Ford Motors!

Ford Motors Chief Executive Officer Jim Hackett! My hero!

According to Fox News, a bunch of simpering employees petitioned Hackett to stop selling vehicles to the Cops! Hackett, one of the few yet growing number of true Americans who are starting to push back against the seismic groundswell of lunatic stupidity that's bubbled up from the bowels of the Earth, lately, issued a measured, tactful, and inspiring response...and flat out refused!

“It’s not controversial that the Ford Police Interceptor helps officers do their job. The issues plaguing police credibility have nothing to do with the vehicles they’re driving. In fact, as we imagine the future power of our connected vehicles, smarter Ford vehicles can be used to not only improve officers’ ability to protect and serve, but also provide data that can make police safer and more accountable.”

Aside from the idiocy of the proposal, which would've necessitated the laying off of precisely the fools who authored it, it was just the latest manifestation of the colossal idiocy of people who actually believe that de-funding the Police wouldn't usher in madness and murder into their homes!

As I wrote a month ago, every murderous criminal, every rapist, and every burglar would invade every single home that wasn't protected, 24/7, by somebody prepared to defend their families...and they would steal everything worth stealing, rape all the women, and murder all the men. Good times.

Picture

The irony is almost overwhelming. The same fools who're chanting that we should de-fund the police are the same fools who're chanting that the government should take all our guns away!

Who do they think that the murderous rapists are gonna target first? The ones who're armed and are prepared to defend themselves? Or the unarmed chumps who voted to de-fund the police??

The Loud Libertarian View ~ Goya

Fox News: Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue refuses to bow to leftist cancel culture mob

I like Lefty Liberals.

Their primal impulse is to help those who're in need...and that is nothing but commendable.

Too many of my Righty Conservative friends lose sight of that, I'm sorry to say.

But the greater crime, I believe, is the tendency of too many, on both sides of the proverbial aisle, to outsource their thinking. To outsource one's moral guidance to others is to abdicate one's very Soul.

The fact of the matter is that, however bellicose and occasionally asinine that Donald Trump has been, any honest evaluation of his work can only produce admiration and respect for his relentless dedication to improving the lives of Americans, black, white, and otherwise.

Sinner though he is, and astonished though I am to see it, he is a true American Patriot.

I applaud Bob Unanue, for having the guts to tell the truth.

Again: I like Lefty Liberals...But anyone boycotting Goya simply because its CEO applauded the phenomenal work that our President has done for Americans...is filth.
